Bisexuals aka Will You Just Make Up Your Minds Already?

This is our favorite bit: has he / she expanded their wardrobe two-fold by dipping into both the men’s / women’s pool? The answer is a resounding “yes” as all that find themselves on our bisexual list have either proclaimed their bisexuality, or else there’s overwhelming evidence that supports their “I’m a lover (of all sexes), not a fighter”.

* Anne Heche – let’s see. Heche freaked out a few years back (pulling what I like to call a Margot Kidder), proving that bisexuality can be a double-edged sword. Sure, in all likelihood, you can double your wardrobe, but Heche is a perfect example of how stressful livin’ a double life can be, if you don’t wield the power correctly.

* Alexander the Great – whether or not Alexander the Great was actually bisexual is a matter of debate. True, his best “friend” was his bodyguard, and Alexander was overwhelmed with grief when he died. True as well, Alexander didn’t become a father into late in life (when having an heir was practically required). True finally that by all accounts, Alexander kept many women friends nearby, but have very few “entanglements” with them. Let’s remember that back then (356–323 BC), being bisexual wasn’t uncommon, so what’s say we just give Alex the benefit of the doubt, shall we?

* Hans Christian Andersen – the world’s premier children’s storyteller bisexual? Next thing you know, you’re gonna tell me PeeWee Herman is gay. What? He is? There’s goes Mr. Roger’s neighborhood…

* Bai Ling – she’s China’s most out-there export, so really – is this truly surprising? I actually think we just assumed she was anyway.

* Josephine Baker – yup, in life, Jo Jo like to play with bananas and…well…the gender-opposite euphemism for bananas.

* Tallulah Bankhead – again, anyone really surprised by this one?

* Drew Barrymore – I love me some Drew. And so do other men (and women!). Drew can do no wrong, and one gets the impression that being experimental is just part of her nature. Kinda like Angelina Jolie…

* Sandra Bernhard – shocker.

* Lady Gaga – shocker squared.

* David Bowie – his biggest decade was the 70s, and everyone was bisexual then.

* Marlon Brando – look, genius has its price…

* Saffron Burrows – I’ve met Saffron, and know for a fact what a beautiful, open soul she is. She’s been romantically linked with actress Fiona Shaw, in the past.

* Fiona Shaw – I’ve never met Fiona, so I have no idea whether she has a beautiful and/or open soul. She’s been romantically linked with actress Saffron Burrows in the past.

* Richard Burton – damn. all the cool people are / we bisexual.

* Margaret Cho – any wonder everyone loves Cho’s comedic routines? ‘Cuz everyone loves Cho.

* James Dean – damn. All the cool people are / were bixexual.

* Brad Davis – uuuuum, who? Just kidding – Midnight Express (a “straight” film with homosexual underpinnings ) was a seminal film, and filled with iconic imagery. Then again, so was Querelle (a “gay” film with iconic imagery. Wow, Brad Davis’ career spanned the gamut, and apparently, so did he.

* Caligula – damn. All the cool people are / were bisexual.
